One of the main objectives of all County Golf organisations is the maintenance of the talent pathway that takes players from their Clubs to County, region and then on to international competition.
Despite being one of the smallest golfing counties in England, Wiltshire Golf has an enviable record of producing great players; David Howell, Jordan Smith, Ben Stow to name but 3, who have represented the ‘White Horse County’ and gone on to great things as professionals.
The list of internationals is also impressive and recently includes Ben Amor, Ben Loughrey, Josh Loughrey and Jake Bolton. Our most recent representative is Lewy Hayward who carried all before him in 2024 and was selected for England Boys.
We run 4 Junior Boy’s squads:
Under 12 – play friendly matches and compete in the SW 5 Counties Championship
Under 14 – Play in the Jack Roberts League & SW Championship
Under 16 – Play in the Channel League & the SW Championship
Elite – Play in the Channel League and SW Championship
If you want any further information on how your junior golfer can get involved in the County setup please contact our Director of performance and Player Development Colin Rossiter jo@wiltshiregolf.org
