Ladies TEAM

2026 welcomes new Ladies 1st and 2nd Team Captains as well as a new coach. Melissa Schroeder has taken over from Claire Smith as 1st team captain and will continue to build on the success of the last 2 years. Lauren Hulston has taken over as 2nd Team Captain and Jess Hayes has taken on the role of team coach, with coaching sessions held at Cumberwell Park GC.

The Wiltshire Ladies County Squad is focused on building strength in depth. We welcome players off single figure handicaps ideally, or those reducing rapidly, and of all age ranges. The focus remains fielding a strong squad of 12 for the Inter County Match Week, to be played at Yeovil GC, Dorset (5-8 Jul 26). Both singles and foursomes matchplay are included, so working out robust pairings and strong singles matchplay is the aim when we train together.

The 2nd team matches are against the local SW Counties played throughout the season with foursomes and singles played on the same day. The team of 6 players will be selected from those who do not have 1st team colours and an opportunity to introduce players to more competitive scratch matchplay formats. These matches are a great oportunity for people of all ages and a chance for more experienced players to mentor 'newer' players in the tactics and nuances of matchplay.
