Wiltshire Golf
Entry fee is £40 per player.
The County Championship is a 36-hole medal competition played off championship tees in
accordance with the "General Conditions Relating to Wiltshire Golf Events". The maximum size of
the field is 72, played in three balls. If the number of entries exceeds 72, the higher handicaps are
balloted out. Starting times will be decided by handicap.
If there is a tie the winner will be decided by a play-off over a short course. The course will
typically be 3 holes, decided at the planning meeting, and if scores are level after the 3 holes, the
play off will be decided by sudden death over the same holes. If weather conditions are adverse,
the Championship Committee may modify these arrangements.
Concurrently the County Team Shield will be decided based on the best three aggregate scores of
players from each club already entered in the Championship.
