Girls Elite Squad
A girls elite squad is selected each year by the County Coach and Junior Organiser

How/ When is the squad selected?  This takes place in October. 

Who is invited to the assessment session?:
Players below the handicap of 16 , who have shown significant progress over the season, or  who have performed well in significant County events or who have played in the Inter Counties Girls Team.
Emerging young players in the Girls Development Squads may also be invited to the session.
After the session, the squad is agreed but the County Coach and Junior Organiser.

What happens next?
The squad then meets for 5-6 sessions, the first of which is March, to which additional players may be invited subject to progress over the winter period.

What is the major event for the Girls?
After a number of key events, the Girls Inter County Match Team is selected, to perform in the South West Junior Girls Inter Counties Tournament. 

Other events that the Performance Squad typically take part in includes the Alresford Trophy held at Alresford GC, Hants, every September.
