2015 County Bowmaker Results

Marlborough was this years host for the County Bowmaker. 

The winners from Marlborough were Sheila Hubie, Kate Bowers  and Amanda Conrad with 74 points.

Runners up from Chippenham were Jacqui Stevens ,Dee McCall and Hilary Cargill with 74 points  on countback.

Third place also from Marlborough went to Sue Tulloh, Karen Banbrook and Gwen Stuart with 74 points 

2015 Autumn Foursomes Results

Played  at The Wiltshire Golf Club on the 3rd September 2015.

The Glendinning Cup (best scratch) was won by Trudy Feltham  and Tuppence Hale from Chippenhams with a gross 84 on countback

Runners up were Jan Scott & Denise Adlington from Kingsdown with a gross 84

In third place were Hazel Shewry & Jayne Long from Ogbourne Downs & Tidworth with a gross 85

The Hart Cup (best nett) was won by Jan Scott & Denise Adlington from Kingsdown with a nett of 66.5

Runners up were Trudy Feltham  and Tuppence Hale from Chippenhams with a nett  of 74.5

In third place were Vivien Monument & Janet Bailes of Bowood with a nett of 75

Lumley Foursomes was won by Jan Scott & Denise Adlington from Kingsdown  with 43 pts

2014 Spring Meeting Results

County Champion, Katie Warren from Wrag Barn, took home some more silverware from the County's Spring meeting which was held at Salisbury & South Wilts on 27th May.

Katie won the Scratch Cup with a gross score of 72 (one under par, three under the CSS for the day of 75) - and she also won the Kennard Cup for the best aggregate gross scores in the Spring meeting and the qualifying rounds of the County Championship.

Bridget Cartwright (left in picture) from Upavon was seven shots behind Katie with a gross score of 79, and won the Handicap Cup for the nett score of 71.  

In Division 2, Erica Russell (below) from Chippenham took both the Dorothy Dykes Cup and the Taunton Handicap Cup for best gross and best nett scores with her gross 96, nett 74.

97 players from 11 clubs entered the Spring meeting and, although rain was forecast, everyone managed to stay dry.  However, the course at Salisbury & South Wilts was at its most challenging and the CSS for the day went up by three shots to 75.  

Nevertheless, a good time was had by all.  The golf was followed by a delicious buffet and the staff at the club were most helpful throughout the day.  Special thank you's go to the Seniors' Section who provided starters and spotters and to Ladies' Captain, Teresa Woodcock, and her team who helped out in many ways, from providing delicious coffee and cakes at the halfway house to the sterling efforts of Sheila Kelly who sold the raffle tickets in aid of County funds.
